- We are happy to announce that the IRS has approved us as a non-profit organization. This will allow us to accept donations
and it also means that we are eligible to apply for grants. We need to do this so that we can reduce the cost of our education
and cultural programming for families.

- September 12-13, 2008. Kurt Ellis, an attachment and bonding specialist, will be presenting a hands on
workshop for families adopting older children. Watch this site for more details.

- November 15, 2008. For Adoption Awareness Month, FTA is honoring our families who have recently adopted with a special
program. Plan on an evening of entertainment, fun, and food as we welcome
home the children and their forever families.

- Six families are now studying Russian Language and culture in preparation for traveling to Russia to adopt their children.
Watch this site for upcoming Chinese classes as well as more Russian classes.
